The troop's first choice of a hike to Hogees was thwarted by a Forest Fire, so Plan B was put into effect and Troop 1201's newest Boy Scouts participated in a Beginner's Backpack to Bear Creek. It turned out to be a good choice as the Boys had the whole campground to themselves. The boys practiced their basic Tent assembly, Stove lighting, and cooking skills as well as their natural ability to cool off in a stream.
